Strategic procurement is critical to organisational success in today’s competitive market. The CRO will be focused on driving PL to deliver a growth target of 20% over the next 3 years, by taking full responsibility for devising and executing our product and research strategy (Vision, Goals and Initiatives) in line with our vision for our customers’ success, our mission to accelerate transformational change for the world’s top companies.
Execution will include driving all product related activities including product innovation and conception, design and development through to production, release management, project management and product management. The CRO will have 5-6 direct reports.
Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective product growth strategies and quality improvement initiatives
Deeply understand our customers’ challenges and our market; own the company-level product vision that keeps us at the forefront of the market
Engage with internal stakeholders, customers and the wider market to gather data and insights for our product strategy
Develop a product roadmap that communicates direction, goals, plans and progress to internal and external stakeholders
Lead the global cross-functional integration of the product development process
Ensure competitive advantage is delivered through the effective leadership of product initiation and development, cultivating a culture that stimulates innovation and product excellence
Establish effective cross-functional relationships within the business to develop a comprehensive tailored solution approach to all customer product needs
Introduce new services to facilitate collaboration with vendors and suppliers
Provide technical representation for the company with clients, investors, and business partners
Champion PL product strategy/products internally and with clients
Support commercial teams by providing product knowledge and expertise as required
Develop and operate the Research budget
Skills, Experience and Attributes
10+ years’ experience in a Research leadership role, including prior management experience ideally from SaaS or subscription background, startup experience preferred
Exceptional communication; able to build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships
