Senior Research Analyst

Role Overview

This role is critical in providing a world-class experience to our procurement and sustainability communities through the creation of high-value content and by facilitating valuable community interactions, such as roundtable discussions and workshops.

The Senior Analyst will create community-derived content augmented with traditional research to create insightful, objective research deliverables, and contribute to the expansion and augmentation of the Leaders product offering.

There will also be a critical market-facing component, engaging with Chief Procurement Officers, Chief Sustainability Officers, and other senior procurement, sustainability and supply chain executives, using proven methodologies to collaboratively solve business problems. The successful candidate will also play a part in delivering and presenting this world-class content to members through our various channels.

Typical experience for a successful candidate might include current B2B journalists and editors, current analysts with a passion for customer facing activities, junior consultants or those with a research background.

Key Responsibilities


Insight Generation

  • ·       Lead thinking into research workstreams, forming hypotheses that lead to thought leadership and high-quality insights.
  • ·       Follow a research process (hypothesis generation, inductive and deductive reasoning), and contribute to primary and secondary research efforts to develop a fact-base to form objective insight—this may take the form of written, audio, visual content – including recorded, and live face to face interactions.

Market Engagement

  • ·       Act as a liaison between the market (members and prospects) and the product organization. Share feedback to inform product development and positioning.
  • ·       Deliver presentations and content at member events, conferences including 3rd party conferences, and member organizations – can include in person and telephone.
  • ·       Respond to client requests, either or written or verbally, in accordance with Procurement Leaders’ customer service level agreement.
  • ·       Support commercial teams to renew and close new business.
  • Sharp focus and attention to customer satisfaction and commercial targets.


Key Attributes, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a research analyst or similar. Knowledge of business issues, such as supply chain, procurement, P&L and balance sheet issues and global economics are a plus.
  • Highly organized project management – ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ambitious, eager to learn and keep a pulse on all things procurement and supply chain landscape to challenge and delight our clients.
  • A strong communicator through written and spoken word
  • Analytical, customer, success and growth mindset.
  • Team-player, ability to work effectively within your team and across business units.
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter, curious and has the initiative, leadership, and commitment to have a fruitful career in a rapidly evolving company and field.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, liaising with key stakeholders from all areas of the business
