The Role:

 

Join our finance team and be part of a journey to shape and drive your career. The Finance Manager role, reporting to the Finance Director, will be responsible for the production of the UK management accounts. You will work closely with the business to deliver the financial reports, commercial analysis and business support to all costs centres.

 

This role will involve a level of management reporting and ad-hoc project work. This role would suit an ambitious and confident individual who can hit the ground running and add value in a short period of time.

 

This is a visible role that would suit a confident communicator who enjoys business partnering and influencing senior management. If you have experience working as a Senior Management Accountant or Finance Manager and thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment this could be a fantastic fit.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of management accounts for UK entity inclusive of fixed asset schedule, accruals, prepayments and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Running UK payroll for approximately 100 employees.
  • Production of all cost centre P&L’s monthly.
  • Verifying calculations of commissions against automated system (Xactly Express).
  • Calculating quarterly VAT returns, EC Sales List submissions.
  • Supporting Group Financial Controller in audit preparation and during onsite audit.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Payroll analysis by function against budget and prior year.
  • Support overall finance team objectives, covering staff in absence and ensuring high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.

 

Key Attributes, Skills and Experience

  • 1 – 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, SUMIF)
  • Experience of Quickbooks, Salesforce & Xactly would be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a hands-on approach
  • Flexible, willing to adapt and develop in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Pragmatic and commercial approach
  • Enthusiastic with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
